Born at the very break of Dawn on a rainy October day in Upstate New York, Dawn Simmons was presented to the world as the

“Smile that brings me Sunshine”.

The prophetic words spoken from her mother at birth, became seeds of wisdom planted in her spirit revealed her purpose in life: comedic entertainer, motivator and spiritual cheerleader to people of all races, color and religious backgrounds.
 

Ms. Simmons’ childhood inspiration to become an entertainer, has evolved into bringing her professional comedic styling to her motivational YouTube page (Break of Dawn), local talent shows, business events, music venues, weddings and church events.

She has also opened many STAR 99.7 block parties with radio personality Ms. "Savannah" Johnson, Belinda “BP” Parker & Renowned deejay "DJ ISH".

After interning with radio personality Geno Jones at Apex Broadcasting Radio group, Dawn fell in love with radio and produced her own radio podcast 

"Break of Dawn with Ms. Daybreak" on internet radio
station CCGNetworkRadio.com.

Currently she has a motivational

podcast called "Pick Up Your Crown" available on IHeartRadio, Spotify, Google & Apple Podcasts. Her unique style of mixing comedic commentary with original inspirational quotes has gained her a growing following.

After receiving her Associates degree, (Media Broadcasting) she procured a position as Digital Content Specialist at WCSC Live5 Morning News in Charleston, SC.

As Dawn Simmons continues to tread on a new groundbreaking format inspired by her mother’s words and God given gift, she is determined that through continued prayer, perseverance, hard work, and matchless creativity, many more doors will open for her distinct brand of bringing laughter, joy, encouragement and love to those around her and afar.
